"When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled,
they were all in one place together.
And suddenly there came from the sky
a noise like a strong driving wind,
and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire,
which parted and came to rest on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in different tongues,
as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim."
Acts 2: 1-4

Today's craft is easy and a lot of fun for the kids! It's Pentecost crowns!
Supplies needed:
Simply get the kids to trace tongues of fire from a template, or print some from the internet which the kids can then colour. Using a different piece of construction paper (or two), cut it into long strips, about 10cm wide. Each individual one of these will be used to make crowns. Wrap one strip around a forehead, and measure where to taper it off. Cut off any extra length of crown, and simply staple the two ends together. The tongues of fire that the kids coloured and/or cut out can then be attached to the crown using tape or a stapler. (Get a parent or adult to assist with this part as it is a bit finnicky.) And there you have it: Voila!
