This week’s Gospel has one of the simplest and most important messages of our faith:
".. love one another. As I have loved you, so you should love one another."

[Lyse] didn’t do anything to dress it up, just read from "The Complete Children's Liturgy Book" (see April 3rd, 2016 blog post) and took some points from the Discussion. I also handed out the colouring sheet that goes with the lesson. It’s very practical. The children can write responses and/or draw pictures depending on their age.
As often happens, the kids understood the message as well as adults, if not better! They came up with lots of examples of how to show love. One of the older kids even wanted to come up with very specific responses on the colouring sheet. If I used the colouring sheet again, I would have two different sets of examples for different age ranges.
