This week [Caroline] read the book, “The Three Trees” by Angela Elwell Hunt. The story is about three trees who have dreams and aspirations. Those dreams seemed dashed, but the story eventually reveals how, through the grace of God, those dreams come true.
Most excitingly, one of the children in the group realized this, saying that they didn’t get what they wanted, but in the end got something better. It was a very satisfying moment. For the project, [Caroline] asked the children to draw the trees in one of the three forms they eventually became, or draw all three on a hill, their choice.
