The Transfiguration of Christ
When Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a high mountain he was transfigured before them, into all of his risen glory, and was seen by the disciples conversing with Moses and Elijah. In the gospel of Mark, upon transfiguration, Jesus' clothes are described as "dazzlingly white." The disciples were so stunned and afraid they hardly knew what to say or do.
This Sunday's activity was a cutout card of Jesus which the children could colour however they wished. Upon finishing, wax paper was taped to the back of the card, and the children were encouraged to tape their crafts onto their windows, so that when the sun striked the card they will be able to see the light shining through Jesus, and may remind them of Jesus' magnificence and glory during his transfiguration.

Reflections on the activity: Some how colouring the wax paper would have been better because then when the sun shines, it would create a mosaic of sorts. Another option would be to use a lighter card stock.
